Comprehensive museum uses a variety of interpretive tools to tell the entire story of the war. Exhibits with dioramas, first-rate artifacts and audiovisual presentations tell the stories of the battles, camp life, black soldiers, medicine, slavery, music and much more.
Open 9 am-5 pm Monday-Saturday, 10 am-5 pm Sunday. Extended hours during summer season. $12/adult.

Eighth Street and Indiana Avenue, Lemoyne
Visible ear10-Aug-2016rtifications defending Harrisburg. Fort Couch was built in June 1863. Impressive historical marker describes this site and the nearby Fort Washington.
